Teacher showing student Ipad

Every Student, from Stage 1 to Grade 12, is Involved in the Reddam Gives Back Programme.

Each class chooses a project or charity in the broader local community, and helps facilitate its needs during the year. Activities required by the social programme may include collecting Easter eggs, preparing goods for vulnerable people in the local community, and supporting fundraising efforts.

Students are encouraged to share their time and talent with others in charitable capacity. Where possible, those in our student body are also encouraged to visit community-based organisations in person.

Reddam House Community Development Foundation

The Reddam House Foundation was formed in 2010 as part of the Reddam House Foundation Trust, a non-profit organisation that aims to assist students who may not be able to afford premium education due to financial constraints. The Reddam Foundation gives disadvantaged students the opportunity to attend Reddam House, a group of co-educational, non-denominational, independent schools in South Africa, Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Reddam House is founded upon the principle that those who have more should share with those who have less. This sentiment is expressed in the Motto: “We Shall Give Back”.

Vision and Mission

Reddam House is in a strong position to be a powerful, positive role model as one of the leading educational institutions in South Africa and Australia. By providing leadership and guidance in the process of "Giving Back", we intend to enable academic and social benefits to flow organically through the Reddam House Foundation, whereby Reddam House, NGOs and the broader community can work together to educate and develop South Africa, and its people.

Reddam House is mindful that an organisation's long-term success is inextricably linked to the sustainable development of the broader socio-economic communities in which it operates. In maintaining a duty to "Give Back", Reddam House firmly believes that it should set an example in an area where role models are crucial. Since its inception, Reddam House has been increasingly mindful of the vital importance of "Giving Back". The Reddam name reflects the above sentiment in its translation: "I Will Give"
